1. Who We Are
This policy covers the website simplemeteo.com operated by SimpleMeteo. It does not apply to our separate apps (uvi.today, pollen.today), which operate independently.

2. What This Site Does
simplemeteo.com is a static informational website. It describes our apps and publishes a blog. There is no registration, no login, and no weather data displayed here.
3. What Data Is Processed
3.1 Infrastructure — IP address
Like every website on the internet, your browser's IP address reaches our infrastructure as part of each HTTP request. We use Cloudflare as our infrastructure and CDN provider. Cloudflare processes IP addresses for the purpose of routing traffic, DDoS protection, and security. We ourselves do not log or store individual IP addresses.
Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): Legitimate interest in providing a secure and available service.
3.2 Analytics
We use Simple Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service. Simple Analytics collects no personal data, sets no cookies, performs no fingerprinting, and does not track individual visitors. It records only anonymous, aggregated metrics (page views, referrers, browser type). Because no personal data is involved, this activity falls outside the scope of GDPR Art. 4, and no consent is needed.
3.3 Email contact
If you choose to send us an email at [email protected], your email address and message content are processed as ordinary email, governed by your email provider's privacy policy and standard email practices. We use the information solely to respond to your message and do not add you to any mailing list.
Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): Legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
4. Cookies
simplemeteo.com sets no tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, and no advertising cookies.
The web framework used to build this site may set a short-lived technical session cookie during page navigation. This cookie contains no personal data and is not used for tracking or profiling. It expires when you close your browser. Under the ePrivacy Directive (EU), strictly necessary technical cookies do not require consent.
5. Third Parties
We rely on the following external services:
- Cloudflare — CDN and infrastructure provider. Processes IP addresses for traffic routing and security. GDPR-compliant; offers SCCs for US transfers. Privacy policy →
- Simple Analytics — Cookieless, privacy-first analytics. Based in the Netherlands (EU). Collects no personal data — no DPA required. Privacy policy →
6. International Transfers
Cloudflare is a US-based company. Any transfer of data outside the EEA is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved under GDPR Art. 46(2)(c). Details are in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
7. Data Retention
We do not store personal data in any database we operate. Cloudflare's log retention is governed by their own policy. Emails sent to us are retained only as long as necessary to respond and are stored in a standard email inbox.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area, you may exercise the following rights by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 calendar days.
- —Access (Art. 15): Request what personal data we hold about you.
- —Rectification (Art. 16): Request correction of inaccurate data.
- —Erasure (Art. 17): Request deletion where no overriding reason exists to retain it.
- —Restriction (Art. 18): Request we restrict processing in certain circumstances.
- —Portability (Art. 20): Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- —Object (Art. 21): Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national Data Protection Authority.
9. Children
This website is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly process personal data from children.
10. Changes
If our data processing practices change materially — for example, if advertising is introduced — this page will be updated before those changes take effect.
